Corporate Games Uganda has sealed new partnerships with BLACKLYF Electronics and Solace Graphix ahead of the 2025 Corporate Run, an event dedicated to supporting maternal health under the theme “Running for Expectant Mothers – because no mother should die while giving life.”
The run, scheduled for later this year, will bring together companies, employees and members of the public in a campaign that blends fitness with social impact.
As part of the deal, BLACKLYF Electronics will oversee logistics and promotional support, including serving as a distribution point for running kits at its Ntinda and Acacia Mall outlets. The company will also provide audiovisual systems and brand activations during the run.
“Maternal health is not just a campaign theme for us; it is a shared responsibility,” said Mourice Aliganyira, Head of Marketing & Brand at BLACKLYF Electronics. “Our role is to ensure the event runs smoothly while giving back to the community we serve.”
Printing and design firm Solace Graphix will contribute both logistical support and philanthropy, with a pledge to purchase and distribute Mama Kits essential delivery packs for expectant mothers. “This partnership reflects our commitment to balancing profit with social responsibility,” said Nicholas Mugerwa, Director of Solace Graphix.
Corporate Games chairman Ian Rumanyika welcomed the partnerships, calling them a major boost to the event’s impact. “This run is more than a race. It is a corporate statement that businesses can take the lead in supporting the wellbeing of women. With partners like BLACKLYF and Solace Graphix, we are confident of delivering both a successful event and a meaningful contribution to maternal health,” he said.
Organisers say proceeds from the run will be channelled towards strengthening access to safe childbirth services and distributing Mama Kits in health centres across Uganda.
Now in its latest edition, the Corporate Run has grown into a fixture on Uganda’s corporate calendar, promoting workplace wellness while addressing urgent social challenges. With strong brand partners on board, the 2025 edition is expected to draw larger participation and deliver lasting community impact.
