Let religious leaders spearhead government development programs: Bishop Buyondo

Government has been urged to walk the talk in regards to fighting corruption instead of favoring afew and vindicating the valnarable.

The appeal has been made by the Bishop of the Born Again fellowship in Kampala District Bishop Herbert Buyondo during his media brief at the Victory Convent Church Namungoona in Kampala.

He spoke this following the various cases of corrupt officials who have been exonerated having been caught without doubt. He says that if governmentbis to fight corruption it should purnish the culprits without favour because it also helps the victims to heal from the habit.

He has expressed gratitude towards President Musevenis remarks during the State of the Nation Address where he called upon the evangelists clergy and Muslim leaders to work with government in promoting government programs saying that they only require recognition and there involvement otherthan polarizing the entire process.

He says that the Convent Church under the Victory Church has trained a batch of evangelists in shilling and commercial farming which they are encouraged to engage in after days of service.
