Dp President Hon Norbert Mao has expressed disappointment with the implementation of the cooperation agreement with Nrm and thinks it’s the reason he should be considered a speaker of the 12 Parliament.
Mao made this revelation while addressing a Dp weekly press conference at the Dp headquaters on Balintuma road in Kampala.
He says that he stands to be the best option for the Speaker of Parliament because most of the principals registered in the agreement were not fulfilled yet as Dp they have fulfilled all the prerequisite terms.
He has also laughed off at a section of parliamentarians who submitted to the proposed new speaker of Parliament Hon Oboth Oboth saying that the Nrm has not yet decided on the matter of who to endorse for speaker quating the Nrm electoral commission Chairman Dr.tanga odoi.
In a related development Mao emphasized on the qualities of a good speaker with purpose otherthan a speaker acting as a project to pursue individual interests.
In his remarks Moa vowsbto change the practice in Parliament saying that he will rivive the Parliamentary galary, discourage rhe horse hair, introduce techinology to identify Mp’s position to vote instead of group selection of I and nai. In a related development Mao will discourage sectarian appointment of workers to Parliament.
