President Félix Antoine Tshisekedi of the Democratic Republic of the Congo has arrived in Uganda ahead of tomorrow’s swearing-in ceremony of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
According to a statement shared by State House Uganda, President Tshisekedi landed in Uganda accompanied by members of his delegation to attend the official inauguration ceremony of President Museveni following his electoral victory.
President Tshisekedi was welcomed at Entebbe International Airport by former Prime Minister John Patrick Amama Mbabazi.
The visit highlights the strong diplomatic and bilateral relations between Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, especially in areas of regional security, trade, infrastructure development, and cross-border cooperation.

Uganda and the DRC have in recent years strengthened collaboration through joint security operations and regional integration initiatives aimed at promoting peace and economic development in the Great Lakes region.
President Museveni’s swearing-in ceremony is expected to attract several heads of state, diplomats, and regional leaders from across Africa and beyond.
