Luzzi pardons Muslims of Mityana District

KAMPALA Independent Kampala Central Parliamentary candidate Abraham Luzzi has moved to reconcile with Muslim leaders in Mityana District, declaring he has pardoned them for allegedly fleecing his campaign funds in the previous parliamentary race.

Luzzi made the announcement during a meeting with Hon. Hadji Abbas Mulubya Ssekyanzi, the UMSC Secretary General, at his office at the UMSC Headquarters in Old Kampala. The meeting took place shortly after Luzzi attended the Friday–Juma congregation prayers at the National Mosque on December 4th, 2025.

In his welcoming remarks, Hadji Mulubya briefed Luzzi on the ongoing activities of the UMSC and commended him for boldly contesting for the Kampala Central seat in the National Parliament. “It is this I kindly request—to forgive the people of Mityana, especially the Muslim leaders who failed to fulfill their promises that they were to elect you as their area MP,” Haji Mulubya said with a smile.

His plea prompted Luzzi to respond positively, saying that since the request had been made by the top Muslim authority, he had no reason to decline. “I now announce that I have forgiven all people of Mityana for the way they harshly mistreated me,” he said, wearing a wide smile. Luzzi went on to express profound gratitude to the UMSC leadership for the tremendous developments he had witnessed at the headquarters.

Before meeting Hadji Mulubya, Luzzi joined hundreds of Muslim faithful to listen to the soul-uplifting sermon delivered by the youthful Sheikh Hussein Ali Bulafu.

The gathering was attended by Muslim leaders at various levels, along with other distinguished personalities from the wider Muslim fraternity.
