ROTARY CANCER RUN 15th EDITION LAUNCHED, CENTENARY BANK CONTRIBUTE SHS500M.

Centenary bank today joined the Rotary team at the official launch of the 15th edition of the Cancer Run at Nsambya Hospital, themed “Gwanga Mujje.”

The speaker of parliament Anita Among launched the cancer run initiative at Nsambya hospital on Friday.

According to Centenary press statement the banks executive Joseph Balikuddembe handed dummy cheque contribution of Shs500m toward the cause.

He reaffirmed the Bank’s 15-year partnership with Rotary Uganda and announced Shs 500m contribution to this year’s edition.

“This brings the Bank’s total support to over UGX 3 billion, having co-founded the Rotary Cancer Centre at Nsambya Hospital” he said.

He also highlighted, Deepened Service including the launch of the Rotary Club of Mapeera, making Bank the second local bank to host its own club and introduction of Gonza Pay, a digital wallet developed by CenteTech, designed to simplify purchases and drive financial inclusion.

He concluded by noting that innovation must serve humanity and urged the public to download the Gonza Pay app to purchase their kits, and join the fight for a healthier, more inclusive Uganda.

PDG Steven Mwanje, and other distinguished guests attended the launch. “To accelerate the fight against cancer, we are proud to contribute UGX 500 million toward this year’s mission, bringing hope and life-saving care to families across Uganda,” according to banks statement. ENDS
