ENTEBBE – A well-known businessman, Ssenyonjo Bosco, and two of his children have lost their lives following a fatal road accident that occurred early Monday morning at the Impala Interchange on the Entebbe Expressway.

According to Michael Kananura, the spokesperson for the Uganda Police Force, the crash happened at approximately 6:30 a.m. on March 16, 2026, involving a Toyota Land Cruiser (registration number UBG 734S).

Preliminary findings suggest that Ssenyonjo, a resident of Masaka, was traveling with family members towards Entebbe when he reportedly lost control of the vehicle, allegedly due to excessive speed.

Police indicated that the vehicle collided with the base of a streetlight before striking a road pillar and overturning multiple times.

Ssenyonjo and two of his children were pronounced dead at the scene, while two other occupants sustained serious injuries.

Emergency responders from the Traffic Police arrived promptly, rescued the injured, and transported them to Grade B Hospital for initial treatment before they were referred to another health facility for further care.

The bodies of the deceased were taken to the City Mortuary for postmortem examination as investigations into the incident continue.

Police have since called on motorists to adhere to speed limits and drive cautiously, particularly on high-speed roads such as the expressway, to prevent similar accidents.
