
These remarks were made by the Katikkiro of Buganda during his second day while touring the Baganda and people studying in the Western region in Mbarara and kigezi among others to emphasize the Kingdom agend of this year dubbed “Situla omutindo”. Situla omutindo is the Kingdom theme of the year which encourages us to add value to what ever we do, this does not only apply to production but it also encourages us to adapt to multiple jobs to scale up our income.
Kamalabyona Charlse Peter Mayiga noted the disparities between Ugandans, which were caused by the effects of colonialism, saying that these sentiments were introduced between us to divide us to ensble them rule over us. He has urged Ugandans to love their cultures and tradition because it’s the engine for development. He says if we adapt to our individual culture and traditions with the education earned, Uganda and Africa will get easily revived both politically socially and economically

While addressing students at Mbarara University of Science and techinology, he cautioned students against cultural rivalisim, saying that being educated does not deny them from respecting their African culture. Kamalabyona cited them aganist family intermarriage, saying that this is not scientifically right but cultural abominable because it emphasizes cronical diseases in our families.
