Namyalo Calls for Accountability and Better Service Delivery Ahead of Presidential Swearing-In

The Office of the National Chairman has been tasked with organizing the upcoming presidential swearing-in ceremony scheduled for the 12th of next month.

While addressing NRM supporters at the Office of the National Chairman, Senior Presidential Advisor Hajati Hadija Namyalo emphasized that although the government has stood the test of time, the current term must prioritize effective service delivery. She criticized the implementation of the trade order, noting that citizens—especially the “bazukulu”—had hoped for improved living standards rather than continued financial hardship.

Namyalo attributed the shortcomings in the trade order to technical officials, urging implementers to stop targeting small-scale operators while ignoring wealthy individuals who have encroached on wetlands and road reserves.

She also offered prayers for the First Family, wishing them good health as they prepare for the swearing-in ceremony. Namyalo stressed that while infrastructure development such as good roads is important, greater focus should be placed on healthcare and improving household incomes.

Additionally, she pledged to push for accountability across all government ministries, particularly in the education and health sectors, in the lead-up to the president’s inauguration.
