Busoga mourns Prince Henry Woira Kitimbo

KAMPALA.Busoga Kingdom is mourning the passing of Henry Woira Kitimbo, the former Isabalangira (Chief Prince) of Bugabula Chiefdom.

According to funeral arrangements released A Plus Funeral Management on Wednesday, a Chief Royal Council Meeting will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026, starting at 10:00am, followed by a Special Busoga Lukiiko (Parliament) Sitting scheduled for 12:00 noon the same day.

A vigil will later take place at his home in Malamu Centre, Kamuli Municipality, beginning with a funeral service at 6:00pm.

On Friday, May 1, 2026, a funeral service will be held at St. Paul Church of Uganda, Bukwenge, starting at 10:00am.

This will be followed by another vigil at his ancestral home in Buyingo, Namwendwa Parish, Namwendwa Town Council, Kamuli District, beginning with a service at 3:00pm.

Burial is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 2:00pm at his ancestral home in Buyingo, Namwendwa Parish, Namwendwa Town Council in Kamuli District.

Tributes have begun to pour in from cultural leaders, family members, and members of the Busoga Kingdom, who have described the late Isabalangira as a dedicated and respected figure who served the kingdom with commitment and distinction throughout his tenure.
