Among the proposed projects are government-backed industrial parks in Namasagali, Iganga, Kamuli, Njeru-Naganga, and Sigulu Islands, where a fish-processing hub is also planned. Leaders say the projects are expected to create jobs for thousands of young people and attract investors into Busoga.

Municipalities across Busoga are also expected to benefit from increased urban road maintenance and infrastructure support following engagements with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development. Meanwhile, Busoga Tourism Minister Hellen Namutamba says tourism remains one of the biggest opportunities for youth employment and poverty reduction in the region.
Namutamba highlighted ongoing investments at Kagulu Rock, where government funding has supported the construction of climbing steps, safety chains, resting areas and tourism facilities that are already creating income opportunities for local communities.
