Kawempe South Member of Parliament Hon Madiina Nsereko Ntale has called for unity among all political actors in Kawempe division regardless of their political affiliation in a bid to revive social development in this constituency.
Madiina Nsereko made this request during his speech soon after his swearing in as Member of Parliament for Kawempe South constituency.
She says that for over a period of time Kawempe has been in the hands of the opposition and the constituency has been lagging behind in regards to social economic development adding that now that the Nrm has taken over, leadership its better for all politicians to unit and work together for the development of people of Kawempe. In a related development Madiina has asked her rival Fred Nyanzi Ssentamu to share his manifesto with her and put aside the rivalry.
Kawempe District Nrm Spokesperson Kazungu Hamuzah Farouq pleaded to the President to consider appointing Madiina as a Minister and requested her to lobby for the construction of Makerere yellow Primary School perimeter wall.
In a related development Lubaga District Nrm Chairman IvanMajambere Kamutu Ssemakula has also urged all National Unity Platform supporters to emulate their former party Moblizer Fred Nyanzi Ssemtamu and work with the Nrm for a formidable transformation.
