Businessman Sudhir leads Ugandan delegation at UK-Africa Business Summit

Billionaire businessman Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia is leading Uganda’s delegation at the 15th UK-Africa Business Summit taking place at the Royal Horseguards Hotel and One Whitehall Place in London.
LONDON. One of Uganda’s most influential entrepreneurs Sudhir Ruparelia is among the keynote speakers at the summit that kicked off Friday, September 12, in London, United Kingdom .
The summit, running under the theme “Forging Investment Partnerships for Growth,” has drawn global investors, policymakers, and industry leaders focused on unlocking cross-border trade, financing, and sustainable development across Africa.
Sudhir is expected to pitch Uganda as a prime destination for investment, highlighting opportunities in infrastructure, energy, agriculture, ICT, and services, while also underscoring the role of strategic partnerships in driving Africa’s transformation.
Uganda’s presence at the summit is reinforced by a strong team of high-level leaders, including Deputy Speaker of Parliament Thomas Tayebwa, Finance Minister Matia Kasaija, Energy Minister Ruth Nankabirwa, Trade Minister Francis Mwebesa, State Minister for Investment Evelyn Anite, and First Deputy Prime Minister Rebecca Kadaga.
Others on the delegation are Col. Edith Nakalema, Gen. David Muhoozi (Minister of State for Internal Affairs), Dr. Ramathan Ggoobi (Permanent Secretary and Secretary to the Treasury), and Labour Minister Betty Amongi, who are scheduled to address panels on security, fiscal reforms, regional integration, and social development.
The summit offers Kampala a platform to deepen trade and investment ties with the UK, which remains a key partner in Uganda’s growth strategy. It is also expected to yield fresh commitments in financing, infrastructure development, and market access, aligning with Uganda’s Ten-Fold Growth Strategy and Vision 2040 agenda.
