KAPCHORWA. Former State Minister for Gender and Culture Jane Frances Kuka has passed on .
She was aged 72.
Kuka ,an Anti-Female Genital Mutilation activist and former Woman MP Kapchorwa in the sixth parliament (1996-2001) died this morning at Nakasero Hospital in Kampala City .,according to her family .
“Mum has been unwell for some time and she has passed on ,we have started making burial arrangements,” a close family member revealed to this publication .
Kuka was the state minister for Gender and Culture from 1996 to 1998 ,state minister for disaster preparedness in 1999 and later appointed Resident District commissioner Kapchorwa in 20007 ,replacing Tezira Jamwa .
