KAMPALA — Police in Kampala are actively searching for controversial musician Alien Skin, real name Patrick Mulwana, in connection with the death of Wilfred Namuwaya, a member of his Fangone Forest music group.
Namuwaya died on September 22, 2025, after reportedly being assaulted on the orders of Alien Skin. According to preliminary police investigations, he was forcibly taken from his residence in Ndeeba on September 20 by a man identified as Musomali, a known associate of Fangone Forest.
Police allege that Alien Skin instructed his group to “discipline” Namuwaya for quitting the music camp without permission. After the beating, Namuwaya was abandoned in Mpomba Zone, where a Good Samaritan later found him and rushed him to Mulago National Referral Hospital. He succumbed to his injuries two days later.
Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Patrick Onyango confirmed that Alien Skin and several accomplices are wanted for questioning.
“The suspects, including Alien Skin, orchestrated a violent attack on the victim. This is a serious matter, and we are determined to bring all involved to justice,” Onyango said.
The other individuals on the police’s wanted list include Commander Mdogo, Ibra Kabadiya, and Mijagulo.
A History of Violence
Alien Skin is no stranger to controversy. The self-styled “ghetto artist” has previously made headlines for violent confrontations and clashes with fellow musicians.
In December 2024, he was remanded to Luzira Prison on robbery charges following the release of a video showing his entourage attacking security guards and medical staff at Nsambya Hospital. The altercation reportedly stemmed from an earlier dispute, and footage appeared to show Alien Skin condoning the assault.
Although public outrage initially focused on the brutality of the incident, Alien Skin was formally charged with the theft of an iPhone 15 Pro, Shs480,000, and a wallet containing a national ID belonging to one Salim Mubiru. He denied the allegations and was remanded until December 9, 2024.
Fellow musician Pius Mayanja, popularly known as Pallaso, came to his defense at the time.
“Locking Alien up in prison won’t tackle the real problems faced by kids from the ghetto,” Pallaso said. “The places they used to hustle from have been replaced by new buildings. Where do you think those kids have gone? They are the ones you see hanging around artists.”
From Allies to Rivals
However, relations between the two artists soon soured. In January 2025, Pallaso allegedly led a group that attacked Alien Skin’s residence in Makindye, following a heated confrontation earlier that day in Buloba, Wakiso District.
Videos that surfaced on social media showed Pallaso and his group vandalizing property and injuring members of Alien Skin’s team. During the chaos, Alien Skin reportedly hid in the ceiling to avoid the attackers.
