Gen Muhoozi calls for perfect parade at father’s swearing in ceremony

KOLOLO.The first son and also Chief of Defence Forces (CDF, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Friday inspected security forces parade at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds ahead of President Museveni’s swearing in fete .

The function is slated for Tuesday next week .

Speaking during the final rehearsals on Friday, Gen Muhoozi asked security agencies taking part in the parade to sharpen their drills and ensure a perfect ceremony .

While thanking the troops for their efforts, which had already produced a good display, the CDF stressed the parade’s significance as a symbol of the military’s strength, discipline, and readiness.

He noted that guests attending the swearing in ceremony should witness a flawless performance with no glitches, and called on parade commanders and participants to leave no room for error.

The occasion was attended by Inspector General of Police Abas Byakagaba, Commissioner General of Prisons Johnson Byabashaija, Commander of Land Forces Lt Gen Kayanja Muhanga, Air Force Commander Lt Gen Charles Okidi, and other senior military and security officials.

The inauguration ceremony is expected to draw several regional leaders from across Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. Mr Museveni ,81 who shot his way to State House in January 1986 will be sworn in for a 7th elective term to extend his stay in office to 45 years .
