Nile Special Sends First Ugandan Fans to FIFA World Cup 2026 After Live Draw

KAMPALA, Uganda — Nile Special has announced the first winners of its FIFA World Cup 2026 promotional campaign, with two Ugandan fans earning an all-expenses-paid trip to the United States following a live draw held at Kyadondo Rugby Club.

Betty Namunvu and Saul Mulindwa were selected through a digital random draw system, securing the grand prize after being picked from a pool of participants. The selection process was overseen by regulatory officials to ensure fairness before the winners were officially confirmed.

According to Nile Special Brand Manager Eric Malinga, the live draw marked a key milestone in the campaign, emphasizing openness and trust in the process.

“This moment highlights our commitment to running a transparent and credible promotion, with winners determined in full public view,” he said.

The prize package includes return air tickets, accommodation, and access to selected matches in host cities such as New York and Philadelphia.

Beyond the grand prize experience, the company revealed plans to roll out additional fan engagement activities across Uganda. These will feature branded merchandise giveaways, match prediction competitions, and organized public viewing events as excitement builds toward the tournament.
