Teenage boys have been urged to take menstruation among teenage girls as a normal health practice.

The Allied Union of Transporters has launched a feminist product “the Union Sanitary pads” in a bid to ease the sanitary burden being faced by teenagers the boys have been urged to take menstruation as a normal practice of life among girls.

In 2016 the first lady tussled with how to address this challenge and introduced a reusable pad which is allegedly not comfortable according to the Union Brand Manager Hope Mukundane

Speaking to the media after the launch of this product at UMA Show Ground Lugogo, Joy said that menstruation among girls has several challenges which disorganises the girl child’s concentration and could also lead to unwanted pregnancies.

Dr Alan Kasozi who represented Dr Iren Munyango in charge of children affairs in the Ministry of Health several girls have fallen victims because of thee failure to access these pads he has urged the Allied Union of Transporters to sensitize motorists about the effects of abusing a girl child. He has asked the boys to understand that menstruation is normal.

The Allied Union Transporters Business Product advisor Fred Ssenoga says that they are focused to penetrating the market because they Union has the numbers to purchase in bulk citing the riders, their spouses children and all beneficiaries from each rider adding that they are into Oil, Vaseline, Drinking water, Books among others.
