WAKISO — The Director of Ronah Junior School, Ronald Muteesasira, has urged parents to avoid taking Primary Seven candidates to witch doctors in search of success ahead of their Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE), instead encouraging them to trust in God and the preparation made by the learners.

Muteesasira said the school was confident that its candidates would perform well, having received the necessary academic preparation and spiritual guidance ahead of their final examinations.

He made the remarks during a dedication Mass held at the school premises in Nansana Municipality, Wakiso District, on Thursday.

“We have done whatever is needed to prepare our children for good performance, and the only thing remaining was to present them before the Almighty God, which we have now done. I therefore do not expect parents to turn to witch doctors over the same matter,” Muteesasira said.

He also commended parents for meeting their children’s school fees and other educational requirements throughout their primary school journey, urging them to continue supporting the learners as they prepare for the examinations.

During the service, Catholic priest Rev. Fr. Cleophas Ssentamu encouraged the candidates to remain prayerful and trust God during and after their examinations, reminding them that completing Primary Seven was only one stage in their education journey.

He challenged the learners to demonstrate the knowledge acquired from their teachers by approaching the examinations with confidence and carefully answering the questions.

“I expect you to have read enough, and for that matter, do not disappoint your teachers. Go and carefully answer the examinations and perform well because I want to come back here to celebrate your success,” Ssentamu said.
