The President of the Democratic Front, Rt. Hon. Mathias Nsamba, has urged the voters of Busoga to vote for quality leaders who will amplify the voices of the people in their quest for a fair share from the national cake.
Mpuuga, accompanied by the Entebbe Municipality MP and Whip of the Democratic Front Party in Parliament, Michael Kakembo Mbwatekamwa, spent the end of the year 2025 visiting selected districts in Busoga to rally support for the DF candidates at both parliamentary and local government levels.
During his visit, community leaders and aspiring candidates highlighted several challenges plaguing the Busoga region. These issues ranged from poverty and poor road infrastructure to inadequate healthcare, broken educational systems, and a failing service sector.
Dr. Ashraf Mugalula, the DF’s aspiring candidate for the Bunya West Parliamentary seat in Mayuge District, revealed that, despite these significant challenges, many leaders whom the people of Busoga elected have failed to advocate for solutions.
He pointed out that several MPs representing parts of Busoga have not returned to the region to understand these issues, while others have remained silent on the floor of
Eng. Stanley Mukisa, the DF candidate for the Kiggulu North Parliamentary seat in Iganga District, urged voters to be discerning this time when deciding on the quality of leaders they choose, noting that poor leadership and inadequate representation are major contributors to the region’s challenges.
Speaking to voters in Busoga, Mpuuga expressed concern about the decline in the region’s tradition of electing quality representatives.

Mpuuga called on the people of Busoga to remain vigilant and not be swayed by political excitement, emphasizing the importance of voting for capable leaders if they wish to restore the region’s voice.
The DF Whip in Parliament, Hon. Michael Kakembo Mbwatekamwa, informed the voters in Busoga that the DF underwent thorough scrutiny of its flag bearers and endorsed capable personalities, urging the voters to embrace them and vote them into leadership.
